Waterfall Weddings
In the wilderness that is the heart of the Bayfield Peninsula, there exist several pristine waterfalls. For those who love the quiet solitude of nature and want that special bond to mark their relationship together, we recommend Lost Creek Falls as the perfect site for a truly intimate, uniquely personal ceremony. According to Patrick Lisi, author of Wisconsin Waterfalls, "Lost Creek Falls is a pearl among Wisconsin Falls". Only 1/2 hour hike into the falls-a walk among white pines, wild strawberry and raspberry bushes, the falls plummet 15 feet straight down off a fragile sandstone ledge into a pool. The sandstone ledges provide ample space for a quiet exchange of vows-to be followed by a picnic basket filled with bottle of champagne, flute glasses for toasting, soft drinks and hors d'oeuvres. If needed, we can arrange transportation for a small group of guests.
(Please note that the 1/2 hour hike into Lost Creek Falls is fairly easy. While transportation can be arranged for the hike, the final climb into the Falls area would not be considered handicapped accessible).
